Despite a flurry of bullish headlines about Japan's Bitcoin ETFs and miner contracts, the market sees a near-zero chance of Bitcoin hitting $1M by end-2026, reflecting the enormous gap between current prices and the target, and the lack of any direct catalyst bridging that gap.
📊 Base rate: Since Bitcoin's inception, no asset of comparable volatility has ever increased by roughly 10x in 18 months from a $100K+ base, making a 1% implied probability consistent with historical extremes.
What's driving it
- • Japan's Bitcoin ETF approval and potential $18.4B inflows by 2028 (Pluang, Jul 25) are positive for adoption but too small and slow to propel a 10x price surge by end-2026.
- • Bitcoin miners' contracts reaching $150B in value (Cointribune, Jul 24) signals institutional interest but does not directly translate to spot price appreciation to $1M.
- • A reported 'quiet civil war' within Bitcoin (blockhead.co, Jul 23) suggests internal governance or scaling disputes that could dampen investor confidence and price momentum.
- • Six consecutive ETF inflow days reviving hopes for $70K (StreetInsider, Jul 23) highlights that even modest price targets are uncertain, underscoring the chasm to $1M.
The case for YES
- • If a sudden global financial crisis or hyperinflation event drives massive capital flight into Bitcoin as a store of value, a parabolic price spike to $1M is theoretically possible within the remaining 5 months.
- • A coordinated institutional buying spree, perhaps triggered by a major sovereign adoption or a surprise ETF approval in the US, could ignite a short squeeze that temporarily pushes the Binance high above $1M.
The case for NO
- • Bitcoin would need to gain roughly 10x from its current price (~$100K) in 5 months, a feat requiring daily average gains of ~2.5% sustained, which is unprecedented even in crypto bull runs.
- • The resolution depends on a single 1-minute candle's high on Binance, making it vulnerable to manipulation or flash crashes, but the sheer distance from $1M makes even a brief spike implausible without a fundamental catalyst.
What to watch
- • Any major regulatory announcement from the US SEC or a G20 nation regarding Bitcoin ETFs or strategic reserves (likely direction: Yes if positive, but still insufficient to reach $1M).
- • A significant macroeconomic event such as a US debt default or a collapse of a major fiat currency (direction: Yes, as it could trigger a flight to Bitcoin).
- • A technical breakout above all-time highs with sustained volume, which would need to be followed by exponential acceleration to even approach $1M (direction: Yes, but extremely low probability).

Which price will Bitcoin hit in 2026?
The field is overwhelmingly concentrated on Bitcoin reaching $65k and $75k in 2026, both at 99%, reflecting the current price near $64k and a strong bullish consensus. The single biggest recent shift is the surge in odds for $65k to near certainty as Bitcoin approached that level, confirmed by the July 20 headline 'Bitcoin price hits $65K wall'.

Which price will Bitcoin hit in July?
The market is effectively settled: with Bitcoin trading above $65,000 as of July 26 and only five days left in July, the 98% odds for $65,000 reflect a near-certain outcome rather than a speculative bet, leaving no room for the other two price levels.

Which price will Solana hit in July?
The $70 target leads at 30%, but the field is far from decided; the single largest recent shift appears to be the mixed impact of a record stablecoin market cap and a $1.65M exploit on the same day (July 20), which may have widened the probability spread.

Will Bitcoin to cross $100,000 USD again in 2026?
Despite bullish predictions for a September turnaround, Bitcoin's price languishes near $63k, far from $100k, and a death cross in March has dampened hopes for a 2026 recovery. The market assigns only a 25% chance, reflecting skepticism that any near-term catalyst can fuel a 58% rally.

What will be the price of Bitcoin at the end of 2026?
The field is heavily concentrated in the $60k–$90k range (81% combined), with the leading $60k–$75k bracket at 53% — a bet that Bitcoin's bear market bottoms and recovers modestly by year-end, but does not break out above $105k (only 6%). The biggest recent shift is the 53% leader absorbing share from the $75k–$90k and below-$60k bins, likely driven by the July 18 report of massive call spreads targeting $72,000 around the Fed meeting (CoinDesk, Jul 18) and the July 24 analysis suggesting the bear market may end before the four-year cycle predicts (Bitcoin Foundation, Jul 24).
