Privacy Policy

Use without an account

You can browse markets, search, compare venues, and use most of the app without signing in. Guests are stateless — we keep no personal profile for you.

On first launch the app generates a random, anonymous device identifier (an install ID) used only to stitch app sessions together if and when you turn on analytics. It is not tied to your identity and is not shared with advertisers.

Information we collect

Account information (only if you sign in): when you sign in with Google, Apple, or X, our auth provider (Supabase) receives your email address and basic profile from that provider, and we create a profile with a handle and, optionally, a display name, bio, and location you add. We do not use your email for marketing.

Content you create: watchlists, saved markets, your own market "calls"/predictions, followed topics and accounts, alert rules, and any posts or chat messages you write. Some of this — profiles, posts, chat messages, and follows — is public by design within the app.

Notifications: if you enable push notifications, we store your device's push token to deliver resolution and price alerts you set.

Optional analytics: if you opt in, we collect first-party, privacy-minded usage events (which screens and features are used) to improve the app. This is off until you allow it and can be turned off any time in Settings → Privacy.

Technical data: our servers briefly use your IP address to rate-limit and protect the API. It is held in memory only and is not written to a database or sold.

What we do NOT collect

No payment or financial-account data — we never process trades, deposits, or withdrawals.

No third-party advertising or tracking SDKs. We use no ad networks and do not sell or rent your data. Analytics, when enabled, go to our own systems.

How we use information

To provide and sync your account features (watchlists, predictions, follows, alerts), to deliver notifications you request, to keep the service secure and within rate limits, and — only with your consent — to understand usage and improve the product.

Legal bases (EEA/UK users)

Where the GDPR applies, we rely on: your consent (analytics and push notifications), performance of a contract (operating the account features you ask for), and legitimate interests (securing and rate-limiting the service). You can withdraw consent at any time.

Service providers

We share data only with infrastructure providers acting on our behalf: Supabase (authentication and the community database), Expo (push-notification delivery), and the identity provider you choose to sign in with (Google, Apple, or X). We do not share data with advertisers.

Public content

Your handle, profile, posts, chat messages, and follow relationships are visible to other users by design. Do not post anything you wish to keep private. You can delete your content and account (see Your rights).

Data retention

Account and community data is kept until you delete the item or your account. Optional analytics events are retained on a rolling basis and automatically purged after a limited period. IP-based rate-limit records are ephemeral (held in memory and discarded within minutes).

Your rights and choices

You can access and export your data, correct your profile, withdraw analytics consent (Settings → Privacy), and delete your account and associated data from within the app (Profile → Settings → Delete account). Deleting your account removes your profile and community content and erases your analytics events. Depending on your region you may have additional rights under the GDPR or CCPA/CPRA; contact privacy@predictionhub.app to exercise them.

Children

PredictionHub is not directed to children and is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18 (or the age of majority where you live).

International transfers & changes

Our providers may process data in other countries with appropriate safeguards. We may update this policy; we will revise the date above and, for material changes, surface a notice in the app.
