LoL: Bilibili Gaming vs LYON - Game 3 Winner
🗂 Part of event: LoL: Bilibili Gaming vs LYON (BO5) - Mid-Season Invitational Playoffs →The market has priced in a Bilibili Gaming victory at 100% odds, likely reflecting the conclusion of the scheduled July 5 match, but none of the provided headlines offer recent confirmation, making the move to 100% a lagging indicator rather than a fresh catalyst.
📊 Base rate: Top-seeded teams in League of Legends Mid-Season Invitational playoffs historically win about 70% of their best-of series games, but the current odds exceed that historical baseline.
What's driving it
- • The odds moved +18 points in the last 24 hours to 100%, but no provided headline from July 22 mentions the match outcome, suggesting the shift may be due to late reporting or automated settlement rather than breaking news (odds movement, no headline).
- • The match was originally scheduled for July 5, over two weeks ago; the 100% probability implies the market has already incorporated the result, with no new information driving it (scheduled date vs. current date).
The case for YES
- • The odds have reached 100%, meaning traders believe Bilibili Gaming won Game 3, possibly because the match was completed and a winner was declared (current odds).
- • Given the 24-hour spike of +18 points, there is likely a confirmed result or official announcement that the market has fully absorbed, making a resolution to Bilibili Gaming highly probable (movement magnitude).
- • If the match was played as scheduled, Bilibili Gaming, as a top-tier Chinese team, was favored to win Game 3 against LYON, a lower-seeded opponent (implied from odds and typical seeding).
The case for NO
- • The market could have moved to 100% due to a technical glitch or premature settlement, leaving a small chance that the actual outcome is still undecided or that LYON won (possibility of error).
- • If the match was not completed for any reason, the resolution rules dictate a 50-50 split, which contradicts the 100% odds; thus, any unresolved status would invalidate the current price (resolution criteria).
- • No recent headline confirms the result, and the provided headlines are all about unrelated sports, raising the possibility that the market is trading on stale or incorrect information (lack of coverage).
What to watch
- • Official match result announcement from Riot Games or the tournament organizer would confirm the winner; if it aligns with the current odds, the market could remain at 100% (direction: no change).
- • If the match is found to be abandoned or void, the market would reset to 50-50, causing a sharp drop in Yes probability (direction: down).

Ben Kohles vs The Field
Despite Ben Kohles holding a two-shot lead after the first round of the 3M Open, the field is priced at 92% because Kohles has a history of late-round collapses (most recently hitting into water on 18 to lose on Jul 17) and the tournament still has 54 holes with many top players like Scottie Scheffler only three back (Field Level Media, Jul 24). The single biggest recent shift is the market's skepticism of Kohles' lead, as his odds remain low despite the first-round advantage.
