New "Stranger Things" episode released by February 28?
🗂 Part of event: New "Stranger Things" episode released by...? →The market has already expired with a definitive No outcome: no new Stranger Things episode was released by the February 28, 2026 deadline, despite Netflix later confirming new episodes for fall 2026.
📊 Base rate: TV series seasons typically release within 1–2 years of the previous season; Stranger Things season 4 aired in 2022, so a new episode by early 2026 would have been an unusually long gap, making a No outcome more probable.
What's driving it
- • The market's resolution date (Feb 28, 2026) has passed, locking the odds at 0% Yes (market mechanics).
- • A Forbes article from January 2026 reported that no 'Stranger Things' Episode 9 was forthcoming after a documentary, reinforcing the lack of a new episode before the deadline (Forbes, Jan 12).
- • Later announcements of new episodes for fall 2026 (Collider, Jun 5; Chicago Star Media, Jun 10) confirm that no episode was released by the February cutoff, cementing the No outcome.
The case for YES
- • No credible case exists because the deadline has already passed without a release.
- • Even if a surprise episode had been announced, it would have needed to be available on Netflix by Feb 28, 2026, which did not occur.
The case for NO
- • No new episode was listed on Netflix as a distinct playable episode for U.S. subscribers by the February 28, 2026 deadline.
- • Netflix's own 10-year anniversary celebration in July 2026 (Netflix, Jul 15) did not include a new episode, only retrospective content.
- • All official confirmations of new episodes (Collider, Jun 5; Chicago Star Media, Jun 10) point to a fall 2026 release, well after the market's resolution date.
What to watch
- • No future catalysts apply because the market is already resolved and expired.

How it resolves
Settled on-chain by UMA's optimistic oracle: once an outcome is clear, anyone can propose the result, which then enters a challenge window where it can be disputed with evidence before it finalizes.

Resolution criteria
This market will resolve to "Yes" if Netflix officially releases a new episode of Stranger Things (i.e., an episode that was not previously available to stream on Netflix) between market creation and February 28, 2026, 11:59 PM ET. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "No". For the purposes of this market, an “episode” must be listed as a distinct episode of Stranger Things on Netflix and be playable for general subscribers in the United States. A behind-the-scenes featurette, documentary, trailer, recap, cast interview, deleted scenes compilation, or other bonus content will not count unless it is clearly presented by Netflix as an official numbered or titled episode of the series. If Netflix releases an alternate cut, extended cut, or “secret” version of an already-released episode, it will not count unless it is listed as a separate episode entry on Netflix. The primary resolution source for this market will be the Stranger Things title page on Netflix (episode list and availability), however a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
ⓘ A market settles under its own written rules, which can lag what looks decided in the news — so the price may not move to 100% the moment an outcome seems obvious.
