Will the Toronto Blue Jays win the 2026 World Series?
🗂 Part of event: MLB World Series Champion 2026 →💡 What the odds say
The market puts this at about a 1% chance — almost no chance.
No money — just record your call and see if you were right. Yes is at 1% right now.
The Blue Jays are mired in a losing streak and internal friction, making their 2% World Series odds a reflection of a team that is not just underperforming but actively unraveling mid-season.
📊 Base rate: Since the wild-card era began in 1995, only about 3% of MLB teams with a sub-.500 record at the All-Star break have gone on to win the World Series.
What's driving it
- • A recent loss prompted a critical headline about Dylan Cease reacting after the Blue Jays lost yet another game, signaling a pattern of defeat that is eroding morale (heavy.com, Jul 21).
- • Manager John Schneider publicly criticized the team as 'flat,' and Daulton Varsho pushed back against that characterization, revealing a disconnect between the coaching staff and players (Yahoo Sports, Jul 21).
- • The departure of an 8-year MLB veteran to a KBO team underscores a roster that is being dismantled rather than reinforced for a playoff push (Yahoo Sports, Jul 21).
The case for YES
- • The Blue Jays still have Vladimir Guerrero Jr., a generational hitter who can single-handedly carry a lineup through a hot streak, as highlighted by MLB.com's coverage of Schneider's comments on Guerrero (MLB.com, Jul 21).
- • A mid-season turnaround is possible if the team resolves its internal strife and benefits from a weak division, though no recent headline suggests such a shift is imminent.
- • The 2% odds imply a small but non-zero chance that the Blue Jays could catch fire in the second half, similar to the 2019 Nationals who were 19-31 before winning the title.
The case for NO
- • The team is losing games consistently, as shown by the repeated coverage of losses and the 'flat' criticism, making a deep playoff run highly unlikely (heavy.com, Jul 21).
- • Public discord between the manager and a key player like Varsho suggests a fractured clubhouse that rarely recovers to championship form (Yahoo Sports, Jul 21).
- • The roster is being depleted, with a veteran player leaving for the KBO, indicating the front office may be prioritizing future assets over a 2026 title push (Yahoo Sports, Jul 21).
What to watch
- • The MLB trade deadline (August 1, 2026): If the Blue Jays sell off key players, odds will drop further toward 0%; if they buy, odds could rise modestly.
- • A winning streak of 5+ games in the next two weeks: Would temporarily boost odds as the team shows signs of life, though a sustained run is needed to change the narrative.
- • An injury to a division rival's star player (e.g., the Yankees' Aaron Judge): Could slightly improve Toronto's playoff path, nudging odds upward by a percentage point or two.

How it resolves
Settled on-chain by UMA's optimistic oracle: once an outcome is clear, anyone can propose the result, which then enters a challenge window where it can be disputed with evidence before it finalizes.

Resolution criteria
This market will resolve according to the team that wins the 2026 MLB World Series. If at any point it becomes impossible for a listed team to win the 2026 MLB World Series per the rules of MLB (e.g., they are eliminated in the playoffs), the corresponding market will resolve to “No”. If the 2026 MLB season is cancelled, postponed after December 31, 2026 ET, or there is otherwise no winner declared within that timeframe, this market will resolve to “Other”. The primary resolution source will be official information from MLB (https://www.mlb.com/); however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
ⓘ A market settles under its own written rules, which can lag what looks decided in the news — so the price may not move to 100% the moment an outcome seems obvious.

Jackson Koivun commands an unusually high 54% probability for a PGA Tour event, but the 1-point dip in the last 24 hours hints at shifting money, and recent headlines focus entirely on the British Open victory by Ryan Fox (AP News, Jul 24), offering no clear catalyst for that movement or for Koivun's lead itself.
